Purchaser and Seller agree to the following:

   Purchaser agrees and binds themselves to take good and reasonable care of this kitten, to provide a high quality cat food, fresh water, shelter, love and affections, and proper and routine medical care with a veterinarian.

   The kitten is guaranteed to be of sound health upon arrival into Purchaser's care. It is guaranteed to be free of bacterial and viral infections and free of all internal and external parasites. It will have been vet checked within the week preceeding its departure from us and will have had its first vaccinations against Panleukopenia, Rhinotrachetitis, Pneumonipis, and Calcivirus (or complete set depending on the age). The Buyer will receive a health record from the Breeder's veterinarian as proof of examination and all vaccines received, as well as a schedule of the vaccines still needed to maintain the kitten's health in the future. The kitten will be microchipped and will have the paperwork for your records. 

   This kitten is guaranteed against life-threatening congenital defects until its second birthday. FIP is considered by the breeder to be of a genetic origin. It is the responsibility of the Purchaser to provide immediate veterinary care to a kitten showing any signed of illness or distress and failure to do so will render any guarantee null and void. No kitten is to be euthanized without the prior knowledge of the breeder, except in the case where a veterinarian considers it the only humane alternative. To do so will void the guarantee. Should the kitten die within the above-mentioned time period as a direct result of a congenital defect, the cat will be replaced only if an appropriate necropsy, paid for by the Purchaser, is performed by a licensed veterinarian and a veterinarian's certificate is provided as proof of cause of death. A replacement will be made with a cat of comparable quality and value within a period of not more than 6 months or the full purchase price will be refunded.

   The kitten is guaranteed for a period of three weeks from the time of arrival in purchaser's home or pick-up at breeder's establishment and can be returned within that time period for any reason whatsoever for a refund of the purchase price, less $300.00. This amount will be applied against the veterinarian expenses involved in testing the returned cat/kitten and quarantining. All return shipping expenses and import charges or taxes shall be paid by the Purchaser. The Breeder will not be responsible for any veterinary expenses incurred by the Purchaser while the kitten is in the possession of the Purchaser.

   The total liability of the breeder shall in no case exceed the total purchase price of the cat/kitten.

The Breeder wishes to be notified if the cat/kitten becomes seriously ill or if death occurs, and to be notified of any health problems discovered in the purchased kitten as it may have an impact on the health of related cats.

   Should the Purchaser cancel this agreement before the cat/kitten is delivered, or fail to pay the balance due on time, the kitten may be sold to another and the Purchaser's full deposit will be retained as a cancellation fee.

   The Breeder has the right, at her discretion, to cancel this contract at any time before delivery of the kitten. The total deposit will then be refunded.

Under no circumstances is this kitten to be sold, leased, given away or surrendered to any pet shop, animal broker, research laboratory or similar facility, humane society or animal shelter. If at any time, for any reason, the Purchaser finds that he/she cannot keep the kitten in their care, he/she agrees to give the Breeder the right of first refusal to try to place the kitten in a new home or to assist in screening potential new homes.

   This kitten will be kept indoors and not be allowed to roam freely outside. The only times it is permissible for the cat to be outdoors is under supervision or when protected within an approved cat enclosure.

   If this kitten is purchased for pet purposes only, registration papers will be furnished only when proof of sterilization by a certified licensed veterinarian is forwarded to Breeder. All registration papers and/or blue slips will be marked 'Not for Breeding' to reflect the cat/kitten's pet status.  Purchaser agrees to spay this kitten between 4 to 6 months of age.  If this kitten is found to be used as a breeding animal, Purchaser agrees to surrender said cat/kitten and all offspring (or monies attained from the sales of them) to Breeder, unconditionally and with no monetary refund to Purchaser by Breeder.

If this cat/kitten is found to be neglected, mistreated, or declawed, Purchaser will surrender said cat/kitten to the Seller, unconditionally with no monetary refund.

By signing this document, the Purchaser gives his/her personal veterinarian permission to disclose all medical information relating to cat/kitten at any time after purchase to Breeder at Breeder's discretion and as deemed necessary by Breeder.

   This contract is legally binding to both parties involved. It applies only to the Purchaser and Breeder in this transaction and is non-transferable to other parties. All legal expenses incurred by Vonleibchens Cattery to enforce the terms of this contract and will be paid by the Purchaser and all legal action, whether it be started by the Purchaser or the Breeder, shall be conducted in the hometown of the Breeder.

   This agreement is not to be superceded by any other agreements, be they written or verbal, unless accompanied with signed documentation outlining the new agreement or amendment.
